"Got ya" stands for "Get On Track Youth" which is an organization started by LAPD officer John Morena to encourage riding motorcycles on racetrack and not city streets. “We break down the us versus them barriers and let youth and other riders see law enforcement officers are regular people, too. The officers who volunteer with Got Ya are available OFF DUTY for schools, shows, track days and competition riding,” explains Morena. As of Saturday, May 7th, 2011, the bike was on display at Pro Italia Motorcycle shop in Pasadena, California.
No word yet on if Morena was issued a ticket for having red and blue lights on his private motorcycle. My guess is he was let off with a warning.
