tool of the day: homemade oil catch pan

Cut out one side of an empty laundry detergent container with a box knife and use. The fill cap can be unscrewed allowing you to pour the spent oil into a sealed container meant for transport. This container held 1 gallon (128 ounces), which was more than enough to hold the 2.5 quarts of oil in my Husqvarna.

Items required:
-An old laundry detergent container
-A box knife or similar knife sharp enough to cut soft plastic on its first pass

Time needed:

1 minute
